It works by Amalgam’s sourcing of the system-generated P&L and Balance Sheet reports that (in this example) come from Quickbooks. The reports can be sourced from any general ledger that Amalgam connects to and work in the same way. Those system-reports are then enhanced with an account mapping that summarizes the accounts into reporting groups. Those groups form the basis for the organization of the formated reports that you’d share with management or your clients.
The formatted reports draw from the system-generated data to present the data in a digestible and appealing way. They also include checks to ensure the data is pulled properly. Additionally, there is a dashboard tab which summarizes the financial performance. This tab can be easily manipulated to fit the needs of your audience.
