Why does it say Categories cannot be used in transactions?

When uploading invoices or other similar records requiring you to select a QBO Item or Service, Amalgam’s sheet will give you a list to select from including all the products and services that are configured in the Quickbooks account you’ve linked to.

However, as you likely know, headers cannot be used for invoices and other records. So for example, if you have a header category called “Services” and two subcategories called “Accounting” and “Bookkeeping,” you would be required to list one of the subcategories on the invoice. While Quickbooks still gives you the “Services” header as an available option, it will not allow you to add that to an invoice as a valid line item.

In Amalgam sheets, all of our dropdown options are presented with the format “Parent > Child” for simplicity.
